Chocolate mousse is a perfect dessert (photo: SXC)

Chocolate mousse is the easiest and one of the most satisfying desserts on the earth. Do you agree? Very rich in flavor, light as air, and it is a perfect way to end a meal.

  • 75 g dark chocolate
  • 1 dl of cream
  • 30 g of sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
  • 2 cl orange liqueur

In a small bowl, boil four deciliters of water –  that will be used in a water bath. Fill another bowl with chocolate and place it over a water bath. Stir the chocolate occasionally until you get a smooth mixture. Cool the melted chocolate.

Into two bowls separate egg yolks from the whites. Whip the egg whites in a sturdy snow. Mix the egg yolks and sugar in a foamy mixture and add cocoa and orange liqueur. In another bowl whip the cream into firm mixture. Into egg yolks mixture add cool melted chocolate and whipped cream. Stir well and in the end gently mixed in the snow from egg yolks.

We put chocolate foam in small cups and place them in the refrigerator for three hours for the foam to cool and harden. And your chocolate mousse is ready to serve!
